NHS fees

NHS fees are charged as bands. Your dentist will inform you of what band your dental care lies within.

NHS care does not include cosmetic dental treatment, it is provision of care to secure your oral health.

Band 1 : Covers an examination, diagnosis and advice. If necessary, it also includes x rays, a scale and polish if clinically required (this is not for the purpose of cosmetics), and planning for further treatment.

Band 2 : Covers all treatment covered by band one, but includes treatment such as fillings root canal and routine extractions.

Band 3 : Covers all the treatment stated above, but also a more complex work such as a crown, bridge or a denture, where clinically indicated.
